Panel Discussion: International Webinar on Internet of Things - Prospects and Challenges in Pandemic Situation

On 4th July 2020, I participated in a panel discussion on the above title in Parkistan, which was moderated by Prof. Muhammad Musa Kaleem, from Federal URDU University of Science and Technology, Islamabad.

The webinar talk was jointly organised by Learners Podcast and Placement Bureau, Federal URDU University, Islamabad, FUUAST on the topic of Internet of Things (Prospects and Challenges). This talk is in continuation of series of talks initiated by Learners Podcast on "COVID-19: Challenge to Employability ". The Audience of this webinar were university students, faculty members, and all those who have an interest in knowing about IOT technology. The webinar was held using the ZOOM platform. 



The Panelists were:


He is currently a Dean Electrical Engineering in Federal URDU University, Islamabad. Dr, Naveed did his Ph.D in Communication and Information Systems, Dalian University of Technology, China. He did his masters in Computer and Communication Networks from France. He holds degree of Electronic Engineering from Pakistan. His main research areas are Wireless Communication, Wireless Sensor & Adhoc network and Underwater Communication.


He receives his PhD in Computer Science from the prestigious University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), MSc in Computer Science from Bayero University Kano (BUK), Nigeria and a Bachelor of Technology in Mathematics with Computer Science from the FUT Minna, Nigeria. He was the former Head of Department (HOD) and a pioneer member of the first Cyber Security Science Department in Nigeria at the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna. At the time he is visiting research scholar as an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity in IT Department, Community College of Qatar (CCQ), Doha, Qatar.

3. Dr. Syed Hamid Hussain MADNI (Malaysia)


Dr. Hamid is a currently based in Malaysia. He received his PhD from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His areas of interest are cloud computing, analysis of algorithm, network security, e-commerce, web development and Internet of Things. His area of research is “Optimal Resource Scheduling for Infrastructure as a Service in Cloud Computing based on Cuckoo Search”.



4. Dr. Zubair Khalid (Parkistan)

Dr. Zubair received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Malaysia in 2017 and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila in 2012. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology, Islamabad.
